Weekly roundup (14/05/2018 – 20/05/2018)

If you are not sure if you know but I am riding London to Brighton off-road which will be fun.  Here is the link if you like to sponsor me, so please click here.

Monday Ride

This week has not started well as I am slightly sick and this is not great for the first day of training that I need to do.  I did not go for as long as I could not do the ride and there is just something wrong with my belly which I hope to sort out in the next few days.

Tuesday Ride

This was a good ride after I was out with illness yesterday.  I only did two laps but I know I can least while as for tomorrow I am thinking of doing quite a few miles.  As I when to get my endurance up for the longer and longer rides.

Wednesday Ride

This was a hard and long ride which felt amazing as I am just building up for the long ride.  I did a longer route by one lap and more miles, as this will pull up my endurance and strength as I was pushing harder on the last lap.

Thursday Ride

This was a fun ride.  I did go to stay out longer just I had things to sort out.  I know I will get fitter and stronger just I need my bike at 100% for that hard and longer rides.

Friday Ride

This was a good hard ride.  I did over 800ft in Elevation and that felt good but I do need to pick up my pace as this was very slow.  I need to start looking at hitting around 8 MPH before the challenge.  I am trying to get my miles up and push my legs hard.

Saturday Ride

This was a fun ride till my knees were playing up.  As I have been riding hard this week and I should have given my legs a rest so I know why I am in some pain at the moment.  So I chose to do a short today to give them a chance to reset for next week.  As I will be trying to ride harder and longer more often.

Sunday Thought

This was a good up and down week as I have put my Scott in for a service as there are many different things that need to be sorted out.

Quote:

“Riding a bike is everything to a cyclist. The friendship and camaraderie you have with other cyclists …to a cyclist, it was the be-all and end-all of your life.”
Tommy Godwin, a double bronze medal winner in the 1,000m time trial and the team pursuit in the 1948 Olympics in London.

I hope you enjoyed this
