If you are not sure if you know but I am riding London to Brighton off-road which will be fun. Here is the link if you like to sponsor me, so please click here.
Since I had my Mountain bike in the shop I am using the road bike. This was a long and hard ride. I loved how it felt to go up and down hills as it was faster on the road. I am feeling how it feels and can not wait till I have more riding done and there will be more cycling over the next few months as I need to get my legs stronger.
This was a short ride as my legs where going stiff and I need to start doing Yoga before going for rides and will hopefully sort my legs out so I can ride longer and longer rides.
This was a fun ride and there will hopefully be more miles. This ride was early in the morning and the right knows it feels good. Which will be good or the future rides. I am hoping to hit a local hill which killed me last time I was on there.
I was going to ride in the morning just it was tipping it down and I did not go to deal with the wet weather on the road. I am starting to miss my mountain bike, as I would be able to train better with it than the road. As when you ride on the road it is a constant speed you can do. As for where off-road riding you deal with up and downs and different surfaces, which is much better than just the one type.
This was a good long ride, or in at least the way my body feels of my strength and getting stronger as I have been getting some pains in my knees and back but since I have been doing longer and longer on the bike I am getting stronger all the time. I have also been working with time-lapse on a GoPro and I think I have found what will be used on the challenge ride as I also hope to get some new ones for the event.
There was no ride today as I have been stuck indoors looking after my mum. I am happy to do so. The one thing I have to say is being indoors all day is making me miss the outdoors when the weather looks this good.
I have to say being on the road is good for getting the miles but in retail, as an MTB I have to be on dirt and the rough stuff to get my true strength and power that I will need for this challenge.
“To possess a bicycle is to be able first to look at it, then to touch it. But touching is revealing as insufficient; what is necessary is to be able to get on the bicycle and take a ride. But this gratuitous ride is likewise insufficient; it would be necessary to use the bicycle to go on some errands…Finally, as one could foresee, handing over a bank note is enough to make a bicycle belong to me, but my entire life is needed to realize this possession.”
