Week 5 (11/06 – 17/06)
This was a good week with my longest ride I have ever done. There was some fun riding still to come this was also the longest time I have been on my bike straight. I do hope once my bike is up from the bike shop. There is alot of cycling that still needs to be done I will be doing some spinning at home during the day, these will be using my watch as a timer.
As you can see I have done a slow build up to a big ride. There will be more riding thought out next week. I do hope to start training more on a training bike each day and do something like 20 mins on there as this will help with getting my speed up. Which is going to be important as I try and hit certain times for the ride I am doing a letter in the year.
Week 6 (18/06 – 24/06)
This was a good week but I would like to get back on my mountain bike. There was some greats ups and downs not just on the ride. I do have to say I love how it feels to ride longer and longer rides, which sadly I have not done this week. I just could not push that hard as my knees were playing up. So I am hoping my knees will be sorted out by next week.
I do have to say I hope to have more weeks, where I do more miles.
Week 7 (25/06 – 01/07)
Well, this is the frist week where I had no manage to do rides with no big completes. Over than a bit of cramp that is. I am still waiting for my bike to get back and I have gone in and spoke to the shop as they have sent my shocks off to be done and it is there where the problem is as I have no clue how long it will still be. I just need to start riding off road more as I am starting to do more miles all the time. Also at the end of the week, I did my longest ride I have ever done in one go. I do hope to longer rides in the future.
I do love the fact that I have done such a big ride at the end of the week which all ways feel good and make me think I can do this challenge, but the only thing is though I have to do this off-road.
Week 8 (02/07 – 08/07)
I would say this was a mad week for riding as my mountain bike, and a long distance ride. It was out there as I have not ridden this sort of distance before. On the brighter side of things, I am getting fitter and fitter all the time. I might not have lost any weight but it is a good thing. I am writing this before I weight myself.
As you can see on where there is alot of short rides and then one really big one. So for me getting longer distance is a good thing as the next time that I am riding I will be soon not far off riding the 75 miles, for the challenge.
Report for the month
The riding that I am doing is only getting better and better as I get to ride longer distances and since my mountain bike is back I will be out for longer on a normal day that just doing 20 miles. which will be great, also I will be in the woods so hopefully, the heat will not be that bad. I have done some amazing riding this week. I have done some good riding and looking forward to more riding.
