If you are not sure if you know but I am riding London to Brighton off-road which will be fun. Here is the link if you like to sponsor me, so please click here.
This was a fun ride. I loved the amount of cycling that I have done today. I also have to say I was not feeling as strong as I hope to in the next few weeks. I am looking at getting faster as I am getting better at climbing and travelling a long distance. I do hope to get a bit faster as I go along.
For today, I was mainly going for speed over distance and climbing. I do alot more flat land riding which was good as I know now that I can ride up to 13mph under my own power and not thought using hills. but keeping my speed at and above 7mph was my main target and that was really good for me.
This was a ride where I am starting to do 100RPM and need to start doing this more often as this will be helping out and moving fasters over the ground. I do hope this is something that will be done in the future. I will be working on my Candance other the next few rides. Which will increase my speed and stamina, as this will help to ride more miles and climb more. This funny or what is straight after a tick sandy area where if you get it wrong your front tier will slip out and take you to the ground.
Woke up today and been sleepy thought out it. the one big thing that has involved anything is the fact my legs have been in a bit of pain through the morning. Which is not great and just made me feel quite bad as there is not that much power I could put down and when going uphill I was mainly in pain so I just kept it short. I have to say near the start seeing a mist over the grass was a sight that was not that great.
This was a long ride and fun ride as I was doing 44km which is something I have been trying to do, all the time. I am working hard at going for longer rides as I hope that I can cover 120km for the ride which I need to see if I can hit as I am hoping to ride this in less then 10 hours just I am hoping to get stronger and faster to hit hills and the distances is big, which is what the change is.
Today was a short ride as I was planning on doing a landscape shoot this afternoon. It was fun. There is nothing big to say about today’s ride.
This was a good week. You do take things a pinch of salt. I am not a fan of going up hills but love going down them. What I am hoping is that I will be able to start climbing better soon and seeing how hard I can push myself.
“It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.”
I hope you enjoyed this
